Resident Spotlight: Mary Alice Taylor

Mary Alice is 87 years young. She was born in Yonkers, NY and raised in Bronx, NY. Mary met her husband while they were celebrating separately at the same restaurant in Greenwich Village for their birthdays just one day apart. After a long courtship, they married. In addition to being a mother of two, Mary was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and her children’s P.T.A. Mary was also an administrative assistant for Bryant Grinder and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.

Mary begin sewing at age 8, and to this day has her sewing machine set up in her apartment ready to take on most any project. Playing scrabble, travel, visiting with others, music, reading are just a few of her interests.

Mary has three grandchildren in the Dunwoody area, Billy, Charlie & Jackie. A motivating component for Mary Alice to relocate to senior living at Dogwood Forest’s Dunwoody, GA community!  Mary is always ready to shop or go out to lunch and is a member of our Book Club. She leads a very active lifestyle and participates in so many of our activities.

What a welcome addition Mary is to our Dogwood Forest senior living family here in Dunwoody, GA!
