Where did you grow up?

Atlanta, Georgia.

What are some of your favorite memories from your childhood?

Going to Europe as a 10-year-old is a great memory. We traveled by plane to England and then went all over Europe.

What are some of your favorite memories from your adulthood?

Did you have a profession? If so, what industry were you in and what did you do?

I was a teacher in Atlanta. I taught the fourth [grade] through high school at different times.

Do you remember what was happening in your life during a significant event in U.S. history such as WWII, Vietnam, Woodstock or any other historical events?

My husband and I both worked for the government at that time.

Which accomplishments in your life do you feel most proud?

Being a mother.

Is there anything you’ve learned in life you wish to share with someone who is just graduating college?

Keep your nose to the grindstone and work hard. Remember everything that is told to you.

Is there anything you’ve learned in life you wish to share with someone who is just starting a family?

You must have a family.

What brought you to Dogwood Forest? Or why did you choose Dogwood Forest?

Always lived in this area and knew of this place. Now my grandson lives here also.

How do you enjoy Dogwood Forest as your new home?

I am enjoying it now! Very pleasant!

What is your favorite part of living at Dogwood?

I am enjoying everything here. You meet a lot of different people.

Who is your best friend at Dogwood?

Everybody! Everyone is good to me!
