Our Dunwoody resident spotlight for October is Edward Mallory. Mr. Mallory was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II, and served his community as a pharmacist at Wender & Roberts Pharmacy in Atlanta for 35 years.
He and his wife, Jane, are blessed with five daughters, thirteen grandchildren, and two great grand children. He enjoys spending time with his family, boating, and music. He is a very talented singer, and he has performed in the chorus of Mr. Robert Shaw, as well as at many special church events and weddings. Where did you grow up?
Helen Bobick Sarik was born on September 25, 1927 in Central New Jersey. She grew up in the same area she was born in. Helen grew up the youngest of 7 children with 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She graduated from high school.
What are some of your favorite memories from your childhood?
Helen states that she remembers helping her mother with cooking favorite food items at home and at the church for church gatherings. She also has good memories of playing and spending time with her brothers and sisters who all were close to each other in age. They loved spending time together and playing together.
